May 24 "Covenant of Love" Nehemiah 1-3

Those who survived the exile were in dire trouble.
And Nehemiah heard.
A cupbearer, he was.
So, he prayed to his God to help them rebuild all!

"When I heard these things, I sat down and wept" ...
he mourned; he fasted; he prayed:

Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel. Nehemiah 1:5-6.

And he confessed the sins of the Israelites, including himself and his father’s family.
And he returned to the Lord, his God.
And he re-built a wall for Jerusalem.

DEAR COVENANT OF LOVE, OUR GOD: PLEASE CHANGE US ALL IN OUR 10,000 MOMENTS SO THAT WE COME TO OUR BEST SENSE AND RETURN TO YOU, no matter what this world is offering; no matter what this world holds; no matter what this world does.  May we return, this day, always.
