December 16 "The Captain of our Soul" I Timothy 1, 2

The goal of this command is love,
out of a pure heart
and a good conscience
and sincere faith.
I Tim 1:5
So wage the good warfare.
And the warfare is against sin.
And we have a Captain of our soul,
an Author of our salvation.

Here it is.
A charge.
This church had the Scripture to give them direction how to pray.
And so do we.
Petitions, prayers, intercessions, givings of thanks, made for all men,
especially those who are in authority,
that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness.
I Tim 2:2
There it is again.  Lead a quiet life.

COME BOLDLY:  Timeless Prayers
Dear Father, We love you. We long to make petitions, prayers, and intercessions that we truly may live a quiet life in all godliness.  It's a beautiful thing.  To be able to rest from all the striving to be somebody in this life.  To trust the Captain of our soul.  Thank you for giving us the Word as our counsel and direction for our lives.  This day.  Always.
